Advertising agency Zenith Optimedia says that use of media consumption will increase this year by 1.4%, but only because of growth in mobile internet use. If not for smartphone use, media consumption fell by 3.4%. The report says 71% of internet consumption is now mobile. Desktop internet peaked at 52 minutes a day in 2014, but is now in decline. All traditional media will shrink this year: cinema by 0.5%, outdoor by 0.8%, television by 1.5%, radio by 2.4%, newspapers by 5.6% and magazines by 6.7% when measured by time spent on each.
