SoftBank is selling its 84.3% stake in Finnish games firm Supercell to Chinese online retail and social media giant Tencent for $8.6 billion, less than three years after it acquired 51% of the company for just $1.5 billion. With the combined clout of gaming and social media, this deal is certain to form the world’s most powerful online gaming force.
