According to statistics from the China Battery Network, $8 billion has been invested into new battery manufacturing facilities in the country in the first 50 days of 2025 alone (through February 20th) – across 17 projects, counting only the 13 projects which announced their investment figures. Chinese manufacturing capacity for green equipment is old news, or should be – but the country’s giants are continuing to invest in ever more production capacity even now in early 2025.
