The Small Cell Forum has held its World Summit in London, as the decidedly British affair looks to expand its global reach – looking to leverage a new O-RAN Alliance working arrangement, and build on the success of a standard format for MNOs that has gone down well in the UK. This year, the vibes were good, with returning attendees relieved at the choice of venue – with reports that last year’s choice was a major disappointment. Housed at the Pullman in St. Pancras, London, the cinema seats enabled comfortable mass consumption of the presentations, and the excellent catering fueled lively discussions. But the imbalance of power between the small cell vendors and the MNOs is still a major one.…
