Telefonica has been trumpeting various activities in quantum computation and communication, as a welcome distraction from the recent politically motivated boardroom coup – where CEO José María Álvarez-Pallete was ousted under pressure from the Spanish government. The telco aims to highlight its leading position among its peers on the quantum front, with a series of presentations and demonstrations at MWC 2025 next week.
