On the technology side, what we saw at NAB 2025 is largely a continuation of the trends we observed last year. Several announcements highlighted the progress that technology companies have made in the AI space, with much of the momentum driven by strategic partnerships. Here are some notable announcements included in the data plane category: Quickplay unveiled an AI-powered “Shorts” workflow for live sports. Using multimodal AI models from Twelve Labs and the Amazon Bedrock platform, the system can instantly identify key moments in live video, auto-generate vertical highlight clips, and publish them as short-form content.
