LS Cable & System subsidiary LS GreenLink has held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new factory, investment cost $771 million, which will produce HVDC subsea cables in Virginia for offshore wind projects. This will be the largest such factory in the US, and ironically comes just weeks after President Trump killed off the last ‘surviving’ offshore wind project development in US waters.
